When Viviana Molle talks about her “Meitlis”, as she affectionately calls her pupils, her eyes light up. There is no mistaking what working with the young ballerinas means to her.

Vivi Molle Ballet School has been “her baby” on the Heuwaage in Basel for ten years. Viviana Molle’s path to independence was characterized by strokes of fate, fateful encounters, coincidences and courage. She first came into contact with ballet at the age of 12. Rather by chance, as she was not one of the girls who dreamed of a career in ballet. She did attend dance classes at the time, but in hip-hop. Her teacher at the time, who had also taught her mother, recommended that she take up ballet because she had the physical requirements.
